No snacking is one of the Whole30 program recommendations, though it’s not a hard and fast rule. For many, snacking is an unhealthy habit that’s grounded in boredom, anxiety, emotional or otherwise mindless eating. And, unfortunately, the foods we eat mindlessly tend to not be very good for us. The Whole30 encourages you to eat real food mindfully, eating enough at meals to satisfy you until the next one. But if a balanced snack helps you stay on track when you’re hungry between meals, then, by all means, enjoy a snack.
